The South American riders had the chance to show their skills during the final round of the Night of the Jumps FIM Freestyle MX World Championship in Fortaleza. It's been a long time between drinks, here with my column in Forty8, but I'm slowly finding time again after a really busy southern hemisphere Spring season! My main focus has been riding the shows in Indonesia for the Powercross series. Last year myself, Clinton Moore and Josh Sheehan rode 5 weeks of shows, this year they bumped it up to 7 weeks and we even had a competition at the last round...

The Flight Club 2010 was a big success. Riders like Lukas Weis, Thamer Engeli, Hannes- and Luc Ackermann, Sven Schmid, Tobi Seibert, Alain- and Kevin Burcklen etc. celebrated a big FMX Party with their fans. This was by far the most thrilling conclusion ever to the NOTJ FIM Freestyle MX World Championship. It was showdown time for the two World Championship contenders, Libor Podmol (CZE) und Brice Izzo (FRA). Both riders gave their all, as they traded incredible Backflip Combos in the finale. The Czech rider finally prevailed at the Brazilian Grand Prix and secured the long-awaited world championship title...

Final FMX countdown in Brazil: Who will be crowned FIM Freestyle MX World Champion? Next Sunday sees the long-awaited final round of the 2010 NIGHT of the JUMPs / FIM Freestyle MX World Championship.
